Totalt insnöad

I boken "Relevance. Communication & Cognition" av Dan Sperber och Deirdre Wilson - vilken handlar om kognition och hur man kommunicerar med varandra, bl a genom att göra det klart för andra att man syftar just till att kommunicera = har "informative intentions" - kan man bl a läsa följande:

"For instance, in writing this book we merely intend to make mutually manifest that we have developed certain hypotheses and have done so on certain grounds. That is, we take it as mutually manifest that you will accept our authority on what we actually think. The mutual cognitive environment thus created is enough for us to go on to communicate further thoughts which we would otherwise have been unable to communicate. (Of course we would also like to convince you, but we hope to do this by the force of our arguments, and not by making you recognise our informative intentions.)" (s 63)

Det var när jag började fnissa åt det som stod inom parentes, för att det var så smågulligt och roligt, som jag insåg att det var dags att avbryta läsningen för ett tag, och få lite nytt syre till hjärnan.
